
Sweden’s Permanent Representative to the EU, Mr Dag Hartelius, and the Japanese EU-Ambassador, Mr Kiojiri Shiojiri inaugurate the charity event on 18 June 2011.
On Saturday the 18th June 2011, Sweden FC, together with the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the EU and the Mission of Japan to the EU organised a charity football game between Sweden FC and Japan. The event was generously supported by Volvo and Bxl Euroleague.
The game was played at Sweden FC’s home ground Stade Communal d’Ixelles and was inaugurated by the Swedish EU-Ambassador Mr Dag Hartelius and his Japanese counterpart Mr Kojiro Shiojiri.
During the game funds was raised among the audience. Together the sponsor and the spectators raised 3600 Euro. The Japanese Red Cross Society was responsible for submission of the funds to the benefit of the victims after the catastrophy in Japan.
Sweden FC won the game 1-0 before approximately 100 spectators.
